Runs the association's scholarship program.

Support the education of members and their families through a fair, well-publicized scholarship program.

A chair and vice chair, plus one member from each region.

- Provide applications and make sure scholarship information reaches all members
- Present an annual report including the names of recipients and alternates

Ideas for an active committee
- Set clear eligibility rules and selection criteria
- Publish the application and deadline widely — newsletter, website, units and social media
- Use a scoring rubric, and remove names from applications before judging
- Have judges step aside if they know an applicant
- Raise money for the scholarship fund through events and sponsors
- Present scholarships at the conference banquet
- Promote national scholarship programs too
