STANDING COMMITTEE · GOVERNANCE

Resolutions Committee

Reviews resolutions and presents them to the membership.

MISSION

Give members a clear, fair process for raising issues as formal resolutions, and present well-researched resolutions to the conference.

WHO SERVES

A chair and vice chair, the president, and one Army and one Air Guard member from each chapter or state.

Core responsibilities

  • Consider each resolution referred to it, revising it only for clarity — never changing its meaning or content
  • Consider resolutions submitted in writing by the published deadline, with exceptions allowed by the chair
  • Research the intent, content and accuracy of resolutions submitted from the floor
  • Report to the conference only the resolutions the committee recommends for adoption, and file the rest with the secretary

Typical duties as written in association bylaws. Your bylaws and standing rules may differ.
